— Funeral services for Peter J. Unger, 83, retired farmer, were held June 3 at the Ebenfeld M. B. Church southeast of Hillsboro with Rev. Sig Polle, the pastor, officiating. Mr. Unger died May 29 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Balzer, in Newton. He farmed in the Hillsboro and Peabody communities most of his life. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Balzer are a son, Harry of Peabody, two other daughters, Mrs. Fred Schmidt of Lehigh and Mrs. Irwen Hanneman of San Jose, Calif., and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. | |||
