•  Funeral services for Allen P. Voran, 54, farmer of the Kingman community, were held May 8 at the Bethany Mennonite Church.  Rev. Robert Friesen officiated.  Mr. Voran died May 5.  He leaves his widow, Hermie; sons Ben A. of Kingman and Dale of the home; his father Henry W. of Kingman; two brothers, one sister and one grandchild.  The funeral of Daniel Schwartz, 80, formerly of Kingman, was conducted April 24 at the Bethany Church with Rev. Herbert Miller, the pastor, officiating.  Mr. Schwartz died April 19 at the Aloha convalescent Home, Hayward, Calif.  A native of McPherson, Kan., he was a retired farmer.

Allen P. Voran, son of Henry W. and Lydia Voran, was born on Nov. 30, 1913 at Norwich, Kan., and departed this life May 5, 1968.  He reached the age of 54 years, five months, and five days.
 
In 1918, at the age of five, he moved with his parents to a farm south of Kingman, Kan.  On May 24, 1931, upon his confession of faith, he was baptized by Rev. Solomon Mouttet, thereby becoming a member of the Bethany Mennonite Church of Kingman, where he remained a faithful and active member throughout his life.  He lived according to his convictions and had a spiritual concern for others as well as his family.
 
He was married to Hermie Graber on Aug. 4, 1940, with whom he shared life's joys and sorrows for 27 years.
 
To this union were born three children, of whom one so, Dennis preceded him in death.
 
Survivors are the widow; two sons, Ben of Kingman and Dale of the home; his father, Henry W. Voran, of Kingman; two brothers, Lester of Cimarron and Ted of McPherson, one sister, Mrs. Lola Graber, of Kingman; one daughter-in-law, Carla; one granddaughter, Dianne; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
