Nursing Student Dies In Car Accident
Freeman, S. D. — Funeral services were scheduled here on Friday, Sept. 29, for Barbara V. Wipf, 20, who passed away at a hospital on Sept. 26, five hours after suffering injuries in an auto accident near Platte. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob E. Wipf of Freeman, and for the past three years had taken nurses training at Mitchell.
It was reported that the car in which she was riding with a young man companion skidded on loose gravel at a county line curve and turned over.
She was a 1948 graduate of the Freeman academy.
