An official of the Power Commission said a work crew was attempting to move the tree into position for cutting when it twisted free from the supporting cables. The tree hit Mr. Wiebe on the chest, resulting in extensive internal injuries. | |||
Funeral services were held at Hochfield on April21. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wiebe, four sisters and one brother. | |||

YOUNG MAN KILLED WHEN STRUCK BY FALLING TREE IN MANITOBA
