Herman Epp, son of Claass [''sic'' Claas] and Anna Epp, was born on Feb. 19, 1898, near Beatrice, Neb. He received his education in the local schools. | |||
On June 11, 1916, upon the confession of his faith he was baptized and became an active member of the First Mennonite Church of Beatrice. | |||
On Nov. 29, 1928 he was united in marriage to Frieda Jantzen by Rev. Franz Albrecht. To this union four children were born. He spent his life farming in Gage and Jefferson Counties. | |||
After a lingering illness, he passed away at a Fairbury hospital on Oct. 31, 1960, having reached the age of 62 years, eight months and 12 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. | |||
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Frieda; one daughter Lucille; three sons, Kenneth, Alan Dean and Richard; two daughters-in-law; three grandchildren; one brother, Abram Epp; five sisters, Mrs. John Jantzen, Elizabeth Epp, Mrs. G. W. Ensz, Mrs. Marie Ensz, and Miss Helen Epp; and many other relatives and friends. | |||
Because of his faith and trust in the Lord, he could say with the Psalmist, “The Lord is my Shepherd.” | |||

HERMAN EPP
Herman Epp, son of Claass [sic Claas] and Anna Epp, was born on Feb. 19, 1898, near Beatrice, Neb. He received his education in the local schools.
On June 11, 1916, upon the confession of his faith he was baptized and became an active member of the First Mennonite Church of Beatrice.
