Former Mission Board Treasurer Dies
Rosthern, Sask. — Funeral services were conducted at the Eigenheim Mennonite Church for Rev. Gerhard G. Epp, 74, long-time elder of the congregation who died on July 30.
Rev. Epp was a former member of the General Conference Board of Missions, of which he served as treasurer for 12 years.
A native of this community, he was ordained to the ministry with five others at the Rosenort Church in Eigenheim. He was ordained elder in 1929 for the newly organized Eigenheim congregation, and served in that capacity for 34 years.
His widow, the former Justina Wiebe, seven children and their families survive.
