<center><h3>JOE R. WICKEY, 37, FATALLY INJURED WHILE HAULING WOOD </h3></center>     
Berne, Ind. &#8212;  Joe R. Wickey, Sr., 37, died late Saturday, Oct. 8, when he fell from a wagon and was run over by a wheel of the vehicle.     
The accident occurred on the Adams county road three miles north and two west of Berne.  Wickey suffered a broken neck and crushed chest, and died seconds after the mishap.     
Wickey and two sons were using a neighbor's tractor to pull a load of slabwood.  As the tractor and wagon rounded a curve, he apparently lost his balance and fell off.   
A member of the Old Order Amish, Wickey is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.  Funeral services were held Oct. 10 at the home of his parents.

Berne Farmer Dies In Fall from Wagon

JOE R. WICKEY, 37, FATALLY INJURED WHILE HAULING WOOD

Berne, Ind. — Joe R. Wickey, Sr., 37, died late Saturday, Oct. 8, when he fell from a wagon and was run over by a wheel of the vehicle.

The accident occurred on the Adams county road three miles north and two west of Berne. Wickey suffered a broken neck and crushed chest, and died seconds after the mishap.

Wickey and two sons were using a neighbor's tractor to pull a load of slabwood. As the tractor and wagon rounded a curve, he apparently lost his balance and fell off.
