INDIANA YOUTH DIES WHEN CAR LEAVES HIGHWAY, HITS TREE
Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services were held March 12 at the North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee for Samuel Jay Weldy, 11, who was believed instantly killed March 9 when the car he was driving left US-6 south of here and crashed into a tree.
The youth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Weldy, apparently lost control of the car on a curve. A companion, Lewis Watkins, received cuts and bruises.
