— Funeral services for John Dirksen, 59, of East 11th Street were held Saturday forenoon at the Peterson Funeral Home with Rev. S. D. Hartzler of the Newton Bible Church officiating. Mr. Dirksen died May 5 in a Wichita hospital. A native of the Lehigh community, he had lived in Newton since 1947 and was employed by the Hesston Corp. He was a member of the Newton First Mennonite Church. Survivors include his widow, Sara; sons Donald of Denver and John S. of Wichita; two sisters and three brothers. | |||
