&bull;  Searchers were continuing their efforts early this week to recover the body of Edwin Dettwiler, 30, of Hesston, believed drowned in the waters of Lake Kanopolis near Ellsworth.  Mr. Dettwiler and Ray Peirce of Newton were fishing when high waves began filling their boat with water and eventually swamped it.  Peirce told the Ellsworth Counts Sheriff that they clung to the boat for about a half hour and then began swimming toward short [''sic''] with the aid of buoyancy cushions.  Peirce said as he reached shore he noticed that Dettwiler was gone, and a short time later his life seat, the straps broken, washed ashore.  Mr. Detrtwiler, son of Harry Dettwiler of La Junta, Colo., was married and the father of two children.  He was employed at the Hesston Manufacturing Co.

B. Church.  Survivors included his wife and a son and daughter, all of the home at Hesston, and his father, Harry F. Dettwiler of LaJunta, Colo.  A native of Versailles, Mo., Mr. Dettwiler had been employed at the Hesston Manufacturing Co.
