•  Funeral services for Harry Dester, 71, native and long-time resident of Halstead, were held Saturday forenoon at the First Mennonite Church there with Rev. Arnold Funk in charge.  Mr. Dester died July 6 in a Wichita hospital after a two-week illness.  He had lived in Wichita since 1944.  He leaves his widow, Minnie; one daughter, Mrs. Joachim Walther of Wichita; one son, Irvin, of Buhler, one sister, Mrs. Andrew Pjesky of Halstead; and one grandchild.
