<center><h3>FACTORY WORKER KILLED WHEN CAR CRASHES INTO FREIGHT TRAIN</h3></center>
Peoria, Ill. &#8212; Melvin Conrad, 41, a member of the Pleasant Hill Mennonite church, was instantly killed here Wednesday morning, Oct. 17.  The car in which he and three companions were driving to the Caterpillar factory, where they were employed, crashed into a Peoria-bound Terminal freight train.
Another member of the group, Lloyd Fountain, died later in a local hospital.
Mr. Conrad is survived by his wife, parents, and one son.
