Milford, Ind. — Over 1,000 persons attended funeral services at the Levi R. Hochstetler home near here July 15 for Valentine D. Yoder, 76, well-known bishop of the Amish church. Services were conducted in the barn, which was filled to overflowing, and also in the farmyard. Four bishops and a minister officiated.
Bishop Yoder died July 12 after a long illness, leaving his wife, 11 children and a number of grandchildren.
