Agnes F. Claassen, 76, died Nov. 8 at the Bethel Home for the Aged in Newton. She was a resident of Whitewater most of her life. Services were held Nov. 11 at the Emmaus Mennonite Church, rural Whitewater, with Alvin Kleinsasser officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Born April 20, 1906, she was the daughter of Ed and Catherine Thiessen Claassen. Surviving are 10 brothers, Ed of North Newton, Henry, Orlando, Daniel and Donald, all of Whitewater, Walter of Burns, Louis of Paso Robles, Calif., Curt of Berne, Ind., David of Peoria, Ill., and Melvin of Mt. Lake, Minn.; and two sisters, Catherina Schrader of Paso Robles and Marie Stucky of rural Newton. | |||
