LIFELONG IOWA RESIDENT DIED
Wayland, Iowa. — Funeral services for C. E. Christner, 83, well known retired farmer of this community, took place Dec. 4 at the Sugar Creek Mennonite church. He was born in Henry county, Iowa on Jan. 20, 1868, and joined the Sugar Creek church as a young man.
Surviving are his wife, the former Emma Conrad, six children, 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
