ANNA MARIE BUSENITZ

Anna Marie Busenitz, daughter of Mrs. Gerhard F. Busenitz, was born July 15, 1919, and departed this life to be with the Lord on Aug. 20, 1965.

Early in life she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and on May 31, 1936, she was baptized upon the confession of her faith and received into the fellowship of the First Mennonite Church of Newton, Kan. Here she remained a faithful member until her home-going.

Her educational pursuits consisted of elementary school and study at Hesston Academy.

She was loved dearly by all who knew her and especially by the members of her family, and she in turn expressed a deep love for them. The nephews and nieces always looked forward to a visit with Aunt Anna Marie. She put forth great effort to give them an enjoyable time when left in her care. She always remembered them with gifts on their birthdays. The most difficult thing for her when she went to Lincoln, Nebr. to accept employment was to say good-bye to mother and the nephews and nieces.

She found great joy in growing flowers for the purpose of sharing them with friends who were sick, or to place them in the church at various functions. In June she accompanied her mother on a trip to Canada. From this she derived much joy and blessing.

Among the portions of Scripture which she treasured greatly was Psalm 23:1, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." Often she expressed the desire for the return of the Lord.

Among those who will miss her most are her mother of the home; three brothers, Gerhard and wife Olga, Alfred and wife Esther, and Karl and wife Anna, all of Newton; also 20 nephews and nieces, her grandmother, uncles and aunts, plus a host of relatives and friends. Her father preceded her in death in 1957.
