Funeral services will be held at the First Mennonite church on Friday afternoon, the services having been postponed to that time to permit the arrival of several children from Clinton, Okla., and Shafter, Calif. — Peter Zielke, one of the old settlers of the Newton neighborhood, passed away at his home at 1114 East Eighth street early last Sunday evening. He had been sick for a considerable length of time, sufering [sic] from diabetes. Born in Russia on January 1, 1858, he was nearly 78 years of age. Funeral services will be held at the First Mennonite church on Friday afternoon, the services having been postponed to that time to permit the arrival of several children from Clinton, Okla., and Shafter, Calif. Five children survive him.
