Pennsylvania Couple Struck by Car While Walking on Highway
Ephrata, Pa. — Double funeral services were held at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church on June 1 for Allen K. Brubacher, 65, and his wife, Mary, 61, who med instant death Sunday evening while walking along Highway 625 near their home.
The couple, returning home after visiting a neighbor, were walking on the left side of the highway facing traffic when they were hit by a motorist as he passed another vehicle. It was dark and the driver said he did not see the couple.
Mr. Brubacher was a native of Petoskey, Mich. His wife, the former Mary Hurst, was a native of the East Earl community. They leave three sons, four daughters, 15 grandchildren, and brothers and sisters.
