Wellman, Iowa. &#8212; Two aged residents of this vicinity, both natives of Johnson county who spent their entire lives in his area, were called away in death within recent weeks.   
 
Mrs. Elizabeth Bender, 92, widow of Christian Bender, died Feb. 18 at her home in Daytonville.  Funeral services were conducted at the Upper Deer Creek Conservative Mennonite church.  She leaves four daughters, two step-daughters, 31 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.   
 
Steven D. Yoder, who was born in a log cabin near Sharon Center, Ia., died at his home in Kalona Feb. 20 at the age of 85.  He farmed in the Kalona area most of his life.  Funeral services were held at the East Union Mennonite church.  Ten children, 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren survive.

Death Claims Two Aged Residents

Wellman, Iowa. — Two aged residents of this vicinity, both natives of Johnson county who spent their entire lives in his area, were called away in death within recent weeks.

Mrs. Elizabeth Bender, 92, widow of Christian Bender, died Feb. 18 at her home in Daytonville. Funeral services were conducted at the Upper Deer Creek Conservative Mennonite church. She leaves four daughters, two step-daughters, 31 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
