LUISE SCHIERLING

Luise Schierling died July 31. She was born Dec. 21, 1926 in Orloff, Ukraine to Peter and Suzanna Kliewer. Her family fled Russia during the revolution and settled in Paraguay, where she helped out on the farm picking cotton. She loved animals and had pet parrots, dogs, and even a deer. Louise taught herself various instruments, attended Bible school, and had a passion for sewing. She was a woman of strong faith, and married Jake Schierling in 1948, after leading him to the Lord. In 1967 they moved to Canada, where she was devoted to her family and actively involved in church choirs. She is mourned by children Irene (Heinz) Harms, Monica (George) Warkentin, Ewald (Viola) Shierling, and Carol (Glen) Monds; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 siblings. The memorial service was at King Road MB Church, Abbotsford, B.C
