ELIZABETH (BETTY) ESAU

Betty Esau died Aug. 31. She was born Dec. 20, 1921 in Herbert, Sask. in a family of 12 children. The family moved to Abbotsford, B.C., where she attended Bible school and enjoyed teaching children with challenges - at VBS and various camps. Betty became assistant to the matron at the "Girls' Home" in Vancouver. She then served as head cook for 12 years at Columbia Bible College where she was an encouragement to staff and students. After retirement she enjoyed travelling until suffering a severe stroke. She is mourned by sisters Mary Esau and Gertrude Klassen; stepsister Mary Willms; 1 brother. The memorial service was Sept. 6 at Clearbrook MB Church.
