SUSIE WIENS

Susie Wiens died Feb. 22. She was born Feb. 26, 1912 in Wiesenfeld, Russia to Abram and Maria Reimer. She accepted Jesus at an early age and was later baptized. When she was 12 the family immigrated to Canada. She sang and played guitar along with her siblings and other young people. She married John Wiens June 15, 1930 in Humboldt, Sask. They moved to Sardis, B.C. and attended Greendale MB Church. They sang in the choir, and visited the sick and elderly. Susie sewed for her family and for others. Family was important to her, and she taught her children to sing and to pray. Predeceased by John in May 1991, she is mourned by sons Wil, John and Abe; daughters Leona Baerg, Serena Rempel, Gertie Ratzlaff, Sue Wiens and Debbie Reimer; 25 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral was Feb. 26 with Reg Toews ministering.
