Mrs. Yoder, the former Emma Stutzman, was a native of Sharon Center, Iowa. She married Sanford C. Yoder at Sharon center in 1903. They moved to Goshen in 1924, when Mr. Yoder was installed as president of Goshen College. He continued in that capacity until 1940. | |||
In recent years the couple had resided at Pleasantview Home, Kalona, Iowa, returning to Goshen late August to enter Greencroft Center. | |||
Surviving in addition to Dr. Yoder are two daughters, Mrs. Laverne Hostetler of Goshen and Mrs. David Zimmerly of Homestead, Fla.; one son, Myron, of Sarasota, Fla.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. | |||

Wife of Former Goshen President Dies at Age 89
Goshen, Ind. — Mrs. Sanford D. Yoder, 89, wife of a former president of Goshen College, died Nov. 7 at Greencroft Nursing Center. She had been in failing health for the past five years.
Mrs. Yoder, the former Emma Stutzman, was a native of Sharon Center, Iowa. She married Sanford C. Yoder at Sharon center in 1903. They moved to Goshen in 1924, when Mr. Yoder was installed as president of Goshen College. He continued in that capacity until 1940.
