. . .
On Oct. 2 this community was shocked and saddened by the plane accident which took place in Colorado and which claimed the lives of a part of the Wichita State University football team. Randy Kiesau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Kiesau, was one of those killed. Even though many did not know Randy personally, his parents were known and loved by all here in this community. Mr. Kiesau was reared here at Corn and was a neighbor to this writer. His mother, Mrs. Anna Martins, is a cousin. This community has been helped so many times by the Kiesaus, who are funeral directors at Clinton. They have been a comfort to those they served. We pray that God will continue to give the grace and strength needed by this family. Randy will be remembered by his strong Christian convictions and friendliness. His motto was "Whatever you do, do it well." This was how he lived and played football.
