Amish Couple Killed In Car-Truck Crash
New Wilmington, Pa. — An Amish couple of this western Pennsylvania community were killed Oct 25 when the car in which they were passengers was hit by a truck at nearby Leesburg.
Dead are Daniel J. Wengerd, 62, and his wife, Lydia (Shetler) Wengerd, 55. The driver of the car reportedly failed to see the oncoming truck at an intersection because of heavy fog.
