JOHN B. REIMER
John B. Reimer died July 8. He was born Dec. 5, 1906 to Bernhard and Katherina Reimer in Russia. When he was 15 his parents and 1 sister died. he immigrated to Alberta with 2 sisters and 1 brother in 1925. He married Anna Riediger in 1929. In 1933 they moved to Vauxhall. He became at Christian at age 12 and later was baptized and joined the MB church. He was a founding member of Vauxhall MB Church, His motto was "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." In spite of hard work and responsibilities, he always found time for church involvement. Anna died in 1978. He married Helen Eitzen in 1980. They lived in Linden, Alta. Helen died in 1998 and he moved into Sunny South Lodge, Coaldale, Alta. Predeceased by Anna and Helen, he is mourned by sons Bernard, John, Abe, Gerhard, Peter, Henry; daughters Elma Kornelson, Martha Wall and Susan Whitlock; 27 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; stepchildren and their families Bill, Denver, Marj Toews, Lydia Chetin, Jean Thiessen. The funeral was in Vauxhall MB Church.
