Katie Falk died May 13 at 84. She was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Dolinowka, Russia, to Abram and Helena Dyck. Her father was killed in the revolution before she was born. The family immigrated to Canada in 1924. Her mother remarried. Katie was baptized and joined Mullingar (Sask.) MB Church in 1936. She moved to Yarrow, B.C. in 1938. She married Herman Falk Nov. 7, 1943. They raised their 3 children and cared for 52 foster children. She was active in Yarrow Alliance Church, and in the Yarrow Seniors Club. She loved singing and playing the organ. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking and painting. She belonged to the Widows Helping Others club.
