Mary Huebert died May 7. She was born Feb. 7, 1914 in Pleshanoff, Neu Samara, South Russia to Comelius and Suzanna Matthies. The family immigrated to Canada in 1925, homesteading in Rabbit Lake, Sask. She worked as a cook and housekeeper in homes in Saskatoon, Calgary and Vancouver. She received assurance of faith under the ministry of H. S. Rempel and was baptized in Saskatoon in October 1934. She was part of the fellowship group that preceded the establishment of the first MB church in Saskatoon. She attended Bethany Bible Institute, Hepburn for 2 years.
