AGATHA SIEMENS SCHELLENBERG
Agatha Siemens Schellenberg died July 28. She was born Feb. 20, 1899 to John H. and Agatha Dyck near Plum Coulee, Man. She worked hard on the farm. She learned English working 4 years in the Judge Lock home in Morden, Man. They moved to Osterwick. She married Isbrand Siemens Apr. 10, 1928. They took over the family farm. Isbrand's death in 1948 was a difficult time; she stayed on the farm 6 more years. She moved to Winkler, Man. in 1955. She read, did handwork, and provided delicious meals for visiting family. She married David Schellenberg July 23, 1972. She joined the Winkler MB Church. David died in 1982. She was proud of her advancing age and enjoyed her 100th birthday. She maintained an independent spirit. She relied on God for strength in all circumstances. She loved and prayed for her family. Predeceased by Isbrand and David, daughter Grace, 10 siblings, she leaves daughters Irene Siemens, May Myers, Ruth Janzen; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother; 2 sisters. The service was July 31 in Winkler MB Church.
