LIESE LOEWEN

Liese Loewen died May 22. She was born Apr. 26, 1906 in Rosenort, Molotschna, Ukraine, the youngest of 12 children. She immigrated to Canada in 1928 with her mother and older sister. They settled in Gilroy, Sask. She married Peter Loewen Apr. 12, 1930. Before they married, they pledged to have regular private and family devotions, be involved in a Bible-believing church, show unconditional love and never argue in front of the children. Liese's faith remained strong through her life. Her desire was to be faithful to the end. Predeceased by Peter in 1969, daughter Tina in 1938; daughter Mary in 1996; 1 granddaughter in 1995, she is mourned by sons Dick and Henry; daughters Lena Thiessen, Liese Loewen, Anne Loewen, Sue Dyck; Netha Hayes; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
