Albert J. Dyck was born Aug. 27, 1914 to John and Anna Bartel Dyck. He spent his entire life in the Elbing, Whitewater and Peabody communities. | |||
In his youth he accepted the Lord as his Savior, was baptized in the Emmaus Church and joined the fellowship of that church. | |||
He was married to Mariann Rempel on Oct. 9, 1935. They spent almost 34 years together. He was a trucker and farmer. This union was blessed with five children, Willis, Virginia, Gene, Barbara and Norma. In June 1958 the three youngest children met with a tragic death. After this he gave up trucking but continued to farm. The last three and one-half years he worked at Excell, Inc. in Hesston which work he enjoyed a great deal. | |||
He underwent major surgery on March 31 and God granted him two more months of life. He died of a heart attack on May 29, 1969. | |||
He was always concerned about his children and grandchildren and the temptations they face as they grow up. | |||
He leaves to mourn his wife Mariann; one son, Willis and wife Alyce and family of Newton; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Cook and family of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Elmer, John and Ralph, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Wiens, all of Newton; and a host of relatives and friends. | |||

ALBERT J. DYCK
