• Mrs. Anna E. King, 80, widow of L. Oliver King and a resident of Schowalter Villa at Hesston since 1963, died Aug. 9 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital. The funeral was conducted Sunday afternoon at the Whitestone Mennonite Church, with Rev. Jerry Weaver in charge. Mrs. King was born in Harvey County, the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Tilman [sic Tillman] M. Erb. The King family formerly lived in the Peabody, Hesston, and Yoder communities, and Mrs. King lived in Hutchinson before entering Schowalter Villa. Surviving are five sons, Rev. Sanford King and Allen of Hutchinson, Rev. Donald King of Lebanon, Ore., Kenneth of Goshen, Ind., and Rev. Clifford King of Woodlawn Park, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. Samuel Janzen of Hutchinson; four brothers, Allen Erb, Hesston, Paul Erb, Scottdale, Pa., Jacob Erb, Kalona, Iowa, and Tillman Erb of California; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Kauffman, Hesston, Mrs. Nick (Amy) Yoder, Iowa City, Iowa; Mrs. Clarence (Ruth) Ebersole and Mrs. Alvin (Leah) Yordy, both of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
