Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 25, at Schwenksville, Pa., conducted by Rev. freeman H. Schwartz. | |||
Prominent in business circles of his community, Mr. Alderfer formerly was president of the Harleysville National Bank, organizer and secretary of Harleysville Mutual Casualty Co., trustee of Grand View hospital and trustee of Bluffton college for a number of years. | |||
He is survived by his wife, five sons and five daughters. | |||

Alvin C. Alderfer, 71, prominent businessman of Harleysville, Pa., died there Sunday evening, Sept. 21, according to word received from there last week.
