ALFRED HARVEY DIRKS

Alfred Dirks of Saskatoon passed away on August 25. He was born near Waldheim, Sask., on August 24, 1924. At the age of 15, during the 1937 revival begun by Rev. Henry Epp, he received Christ as his personal Saviour. He was later baptized and joined the Dalmeny (Sask.) EMB Church. In 1971 at Sutera Twins meetings he rededicated his life to God's service. He married Meta Sommerfeld of Waseca, Sask. on October 15, 1948. They bought a farm near Lashburn, Sask. and farmed it for 21 years, until 1971, when they moved to Saskatoon and he both farmed and worked in the city.
