In 1930, she remembered her Creator by yielding her heart and life to the Lord, and on April 20 she was baptized upon confession of her faith. She became a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, remaining a faithful member to the end.

Her life was filled with much sickness which caused her often to draw near to God, her only help. She was deeply concerned for the welfare of her only daughter from whom it was so hard to part.
