MRS. SARAH (SOPHIE) NEUSTADTER

(Mrs.) Sarah Neustadter of Saskatoon passed away on January 16. She was born on August 21, 1896 at Einlage, Russia. On June 10, 1912 she was baptized upon confession of her faith in Jesus, by Rev. Abraham Wall. She married Franz Neustadter on December 12, 1922. The couple had six children in Saleva, one of whom died in infancy. Her husband was forcibly deported, and she was left with the task of raising the children. On October 1943 she was among the refugees brought into Germany from the Soviet Union. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1949. During her life she made numerous international friends. She gave generously and was attentive to the needs of those around her.

She is survived by five children, Pete of Balgonie, Sask., (Mrs.) Anne Boldt of Hepburn, Sask., John, (Mrs.) Mary Reichert and (Mrs.) Helen Link of Saskatoon; 10 grand children; and one sister in the Soviet Union.
