MRS. ANNIE FUNK

(Mrs.) Annie Funk was born in Russia on December 26, 1904, to John and Tina Peters. On July 21 she passed away peacefully in Clearbrook, B.C., after a lengthy illness. Her early years were spent in Russia, until 1923, when her family emigrated to Canada, settling in Saskatchewan. She married David Funk in Waldheim, Sask. on July 5, 1931, and the couple made their home in Glenbush, Sask. They moved to Yarrow, B.C., in 1937, moving later to Aldergrove, B.C., and finally, upon retirement, to Clearbrook, B.C. They spent the recent years in the Tabor Home in Clearbrook due to failing health.

She received Christ as her Saviour in her early years, and was baptized in 1934, becoming a member of the Glenbush Menno nite Brethren Church. She was committed to her Lord and will be remembered for her desire to serve her family, friends and neighbours.

Predeceased by her parents, two brothers in Canada and one sister in Russia, she leaves to mourn her husband David; three children, Walter Robert of Sumas Prairie, B.C., Lorena (Mrs. Wilfred) Richert, Winnipeg, and Anita (Mrs. Manfred) Schmidt, Duncan, B.C.; five grandchildren, two bro thers, two sisters and many relatives and friends.
