•  Funeral services for Mrs. Justina Esau, 97, widow of Martin Esau, were held Monday forenoon at the Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church, Rev. Wm. Neufeld officiating.  Mrs. Esau died Thursday at a Hutchinson hospital.  She was born in South Russia and was a long-time resident of the Buhler community, residing at the Sunshine Home since 1958. The large family of survivors includes five great-great-grandchildren.

Buhler, Kan. &#8212; Mrs. Justina Esau, 97, oldest resident of the Sunshine Rest Home here, died July 23 in a Hutchinson hospital.  Death came as the result of a fall the day before.
She was born at Sirstenverder, South Russia on Aug. 2, 1866.  Funeral services were held July 27 at the Buhler M. B. Church of which she was a member.
Survivors include two sons, M. M. Esau, Buhler, and P. M. Esau, Hutchinson; and five daughters, Mrs. Margaret Wall, Reedley, Calif.; Mrs. Justina Dyck, Dinuba, Calif.; Mrs. Elizabeth Ediger and Mrs. Marie Schroeder, both of Buhler; and Mrs. Helen Siemens, Inman.

OLDEST RESIDENT DIES AT 97

Buhler, Kan. — Mrs. Justina Esau, 97, oldest resident of the Sunshine Rest Home here, died July 23 in a Hutchinson hospital. Death came as the result of a fall the day before.

She was born at Sirstenverder, South Russia on Aug. 2, 1866. Funeral services were held July 27 at the Buhler M. B. Church of which she was a member.
