&#9679; Funeral services for Anton L. Schmidt, 60, who farmed most of his life in Pleasant Township east of Newton, were held last Friday at the Grace Hill Church with Rev. Herbert Miller officiating.  Mr. Schmidt died Sept. 25 at the Bethel Hospital.  He never married.  Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob B. Schmidt of the home on Route 3, Newton; one sister, Mrs. Valentine Harms of Route 3; and three brothers, John F. of North Newton, Tobias of Route 3, Newton; and Aaron K. of South Bend, Ind.
