YOUTH KILLED WHILE WALKING ON HIGHWAY NEAR STEINBACH
Steinbach, Man. — Funeral services for Robert Loewen, 16, who was fatally injured while walking on a highway near here, were conducted at the Evangelical Mennonite Church.
The young man and a companion were walking after dark to ployed [sic] when the Loewen youth was [sic line repeated in original] struck from behind by an auto. He was carrying a transistor radio and perhaps did not hear the approaching motorist.
