•  John B. McCuish, well-known Newton resident who served as governor of Kansas for 11 days in 1957, died unexpectedly at his home here Monday morning at the age of 55.  Funeral services were conducted Wednesday forenoon at the First Presbyterian Church.  Mr. McCuish was the son of a Presbyterian minister, Dr. John B. McCuish, who at one time served on the faculty of Bethel College.

• John B. McCuish, well-known Newton resident who served as governor of Kansas for 11 days in 1957, died unexpectedly at his home here Monday morning at the age of 55.
