&#8212; Widely attended funeral services were held Monday morning, Sept. 4, at the Hesston College Mennonite Church for Charles W. Kauffman, 26, who died Friday evening, Sept. 1, at the home of his parents, Bishop and Mrs. Milo Kauffman of Hesston. He graduated from Hesston Academy in 1952, Hesston (Junior) College in 1954 and Bethel College in 1956. He would have graduated from the University of Kansas Medical School last June, but was unable to complete his work due to illness. He was married to Betty Hostetler at Harper on Aug. 23, 1957. In addition to his widow, he is survived by one son, Gregory Kent; his parents; six sisters, Mrs. Maurice (Marilyn) Miller of Manhattan, Mrs. Merle (Joy) Sears of Washington, Ill., Evelyn, Gloria, Bonnie and Phyllis, all of the home, and one brother, Milo Jr., also of the home. Officiating at the funeral were Rev. Peter Wiebe of Hesston and Rev. Stanley Bohn of Kansas City, Kan. Burial was in the Pennsylvania Mennonite Cemetery.
