He was baptized in the Mennonite Church at Lehigh, Kan. when he was 15 years old. Later he joined the Alexanderwohl Church near Goessel, and on May 13, 1918 transferred his membership to the Tabor Mennonite Church. |

CHARLIE SYLVESTER, JR.
Charlie Sylvester, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Sylvester, Sr., was born Jan. 17, 1888 on his father's farm seven miles southeast of Goessel, Kan. and departed this life Nov. 17, 1961 in Cottonwood Falls, Kan. at the age of 73 years and 10 months.
