FARMER FOUND DEAD IN FIELD

Hillsboro, Kan. — The Grand Central community near here was saddened by the unexpected death of Dan Eck, well-known farmer, which occurred May 18 while he was at work digging post holes in a field near his home. His body was found near the tractor, death having been caused by a heart attack.

Surviving are his wife and one son, Howard, who graduated from the eighth grade this year.

Funeral services were held May 23 at the Logan Mennonite Church of which he was a member.
