Dr. Schlichting was widely known for his skill in setting bones. He was also a farmer and was active in church and community affairs. A native of South Russia, he was a member of a pioneer family which homesteaded here in 1894.

PIONEER SETTLER AND LONG-TIME DOCTOR DIES AT CORN, OKLA.

Corn, Okla. — Funeral services for Dr. Henry Schlichting, Sr., one of this community's best known residents, were held Sunday afternoon, April 23, in the Corn Mennonite Brethren Church.

Dr. Schlichting was widely known for his skill in setting bones. He was also a farmer and was active in church and community affairs. A native of South Russia, he was a member of a pioneer family which homesteaded here in 1894.
