Goshen, Ind. — William J. Kauffman of Route 2, Middlebury, died at his farm home April 11 at the age of 87, leaving four generations of descendants. He was a lifelong resident of the Middlebury community.

Survivors include his widow, the former Amanda Hostetler, four daughters, three sons, 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Fair Haven Mennonite Church, with Rev. D. A. Bontrager in charge.
