&#8212; Mrs. Katherine E. Groneman, 80, a long-time resident of the Newton and Halstead communities, died Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Axtell Christian Hospital. Funeral services were arranged for Thursday afternoon at the Bethel College church, of which she was a member, Rev. Russell Mast officiating. Mrs. Groneman was born in Austria-Hungary and came to the United States in 1893 with her parents, John and Anna Marie Philips. They settled at Houston, Texas and later moved to this area. She was married here to Albert Groneman on Aug. 10, 1902, and he died in 1943. Surviving are two daughters and one son, three brothers, three sisters, and three grandchildren.
