Anna Slagell Smith, daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Gascho Slagell, died in the General hospital, Clinton, Okla., on July 8, 1960 at the age of 81. She was born near Flanagan, Ill. in 1878 and moved with her parents to Colorado during her girlhood days. In 1895, she went to Lyon Co., Kan., where she was married in 1903 to the late A. C. Smith.

Survivors are two daughters, Sidney (Mrs. W. E. Carver of Hydro), and Mary (Mrs. John A. Miller of Clinton); two sons, Harvey J. of Lebo, Kan. and Marion of Lawton, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. S. E. Stutzman of Weatherford, Okla. and Mrs. Kate Detweiler of Thomas, Okla.; three brothers, Joe Slagell, of Thomas, Ben Slagell of Phoenix, Ariz., and John Slagell of Hydro; 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held July 11 in the Pleasant View Mennonite church, Hydro, Okla., with Rev. M. L. Stegall of Clinton and Bro. Alva Swartzendruber, officiating. Burial was in the cemetery near by.

ANNA SLAGEL [sic SLAGELL] SMITH

Anna Slagell Smith, daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Gascho Slagell, died in the General hospital, Clinton, Okla., on July 8, 1960 at the age of 81. She was born near Flanagan, Ill. in 1878 and moved with her parents to Colorado during her girlhood days. In 1895, she went to Lyon Co., Kan., where she was married in 1903 to the late A. C. Smith.
