Word was received here of the death last week of G. A. Bartel of Aberdeen, Idaho, known to many readers as a former contributor to the Review. | |||
Having returned home from a recent illness, he died suddenly as he was going to the car to attend the evening services at the Mennonite church in Aberdeen. | |||
He reached the age of 73 years. | |||
Leaving Kansas in 1906 to locate at Aberdeen, he was active in the hardware business there for many years. For a short time previous to that he was employed at the Herald Publishing Co. in Newton. | |||
The first wife, nee Susan Unruh, died a number of years ago, and on October 22, 1939, he was united in marriage with Mrs. Susan Linscheid. Funeral services were held at the Aberdeen Mennonite church on November 27, conducted by Rev. P. A. Wedel, his pastor. | |||
