Woman Fatally Injured In Head-On Collision

WILMA Y. MAUST ALMOST INSTANTLY KILLED, HUSBAND SERIOUSLY INJURED

Accident, Md. — Mrs. Wilma Y. Maust, 61, wife of Asa Maust, 60, was almost instantly killed in a head-on collision on a Somerse [sic Somerset] county road near Meyersdale, Pa., Friday, May 20. Immediate cause of her death was a broken neck. She had also suffered a compound fracture of the left leg and severe internal injuries.

The Mausts' 1958 Chevrolet collided with the 1960 Mercury driven by Raymond E. Lyons, 38, who apparently crossed the center line on the couty [sic] road. Lyons also was critically injured.
